Sunset photos from some favourite places

“There’s never one sunrise the same or one sunset the same.” ∼Carlos Santana

There is a scientific explanation for the brilliant orange, red and pink colours of a sunset. It has to do with the colour of light, wavelengths, atmospheric refraction, and something called Rayleigh scattering. Fortunately, I do not need to understand the science to appreciate the beauty.

Here are some favourite sunsets:

Nevis sunsets
On the Caribbean island of Nevis

It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream. ∼Bern Williams

  3. Nice! I like the ones in Arizona 😀

  4. Great sunset pictures, Donna. I am very passionate about taking sunset pictures myself.

  5. Nice photos Donna. I’ve always thought sunset in the desert was pretty special but my favorite here is the one from Clear Lake.
