Do you like to visit historical sites when you travel? Do you explore your local history?
Believing that cultural and natural heritage is a priceless asset for all humanity, UNESCO, an organization dedicated to establishing peace on the basis of humanity’s moral and intellectual solidarity, designates World Heritage sites based on six cultural and four natural criteria. Almost one thousand sites worldwide are designated World Heritage sites. Additional sites may be designated as official historic sites by individual countries and territories.
Last week I participated with fellow travel bloggers in a collaborative post about historic sites organized by travel blogger and photographer Noel Morata. Discover historic treasures as Travel bloggers share their favorite Unesco, historical monuments and architectural wonders.
