Emily Carr was a Canadian artist and writer who was inspired by the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast. Carr was born in Victoria and was one of the earliest chroniclers of life in British Columbia.⁠

With colder than normal temperatures on the horizon (highs just below freezing), the snow is likely to stick around for at least a week. According to the weatherperson on the radio this morning, snow in October in southern Manitoba is normal; it sticking around is not!
