Donna Janke’s post on “Neu Ulm, The most German City” contains a rather significant mistake.
The “original” city of ULM and its expansion Neu Ulm are located in the southwestern German State of Baden Wuerttemberg; there are no provinces. The city of Wittenberg is located several 100 kms to the northeast in the State of Sachsen-Anhalt.The historic, cultural and economic differences are considerable even today.
Thanks Elke for bringing this to my attention. I mistakenly typed in Wittenberg instead of Württemberg in my post (and even did that twice) without catching it before publishing. I’ve now updated the post.
