Kaleidoscope of Spring At The Leaf

A vibrant exhibit of colour and light with spring flowers at The Leaf in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Well before any spring flowers popped through the earth in southern Manitoba, Canada, the vibrant colours of spring blooms could be seen at The Leaf in its capital city Winnipeg. The Kaleidoscope of Spring exhibit runs from March 27 to June 7, 2026.
The Leaf is an indoor garden featuring tropical and Mediterranean gardens, a six-story-high, free-standing waterfall, and butterfly gardens. (You can read more about this horticultural attraction in my post The Leaf: Indoor Tropical Garden In Winnipeg.) The Babs Asper Display House, located within The Leaf, contains floral displays that change four times a year. It is here where the Kaleidoscope of Spring can be found.

The display features a variety of blooming spring bulbs and invites visitors to explore patterns of light and colour. Throughout the display, suncatchers, glass ornaments, a glazing crystal ball, and crystal prisms catch and scatter the season’s rays.

You catch lovely floral scents, pleasant but not overpowering, as you walk through the displays or sit for a while on one of the benches.

Microscopes over a cacti bowl offer close-up views of colourful designs. Looks through the lenses bring smiles and exclamations of delight.
