As I write this post, spring officially started a week ago. Depending on what part of the world you live in, you may now be seeing blooming signs of spring, or, like me, still waiting for the snow to completely melt and thinking about spring flowers.

I love visiting gardens when I travel and have visited several during springtime. Here are a few photos from those visits to inspire a springtime mood.

The first time I visited the Greater Phoenix area in Arizona in spring time, I was blown away by the beauty of the wild flowers that bloom in the Sonoma desert and by the pretty, delicate flowers to be found on the rough-looking cacti. I continued to be blown away on any subsequent visits.

The southern part of Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada is in the mildest area of Canada. That means spring blooms arrive earlier there than in other parts of the country. The city of Victoria on Vancouver Island is sometimes known as the Garden City. There are many gardens to enjoy throughout the year, but I have managed to see a few in springtime.

I have written posts in the past about most of the gardens these photos were taken in. If you are interested in seeing and learning more about any of the gardens, check these posts:
